The required airflow is easily and quickly set using the control knob with a pointer, no additional equipment is required. The advantage over standard butterfly valves is the absence of the need for repeated measurements and valve adjustments, which are performed by a qualified specialist. If there is a change in pressure, for example, when opening or closing a section of the duct, the air flow in the entire system with butterfly valves will also change, while in a system with mechanical flow controllers this does not happen. Mechanical flow controllers will immediately change the position of their dampers so that the set air flow remains unchanged.
Air flow ranges
The minimum pressure drop across the CAV constant flow controller is an important factor when designing a duct network and selecting a fan with a capacity controller. Sufficient duct pressure must be ensured for all operating modes and for all regulators. It is necessary to correctly select the pressure measurement points to control the fan speed controller.
