A variable air volume (VAV) control system is a modern and effective way to maintain a comfortable microclimate in spaces for various purposes. These individual components allow for flexible system configuration for specific needs. These include:
- Servomotors with varying torques: provide smooth opening or closing of the damper flaps.
- Damper control modules: receive signals from temperature sensors, air quality controllers, or BMS systems.
- Control range sensors: generate a control signal for the servomotor in the 0–10 V range.
How to choose the right modification?
Dependent on operating conditions: Exhaust systems containing aggressive substances require special materials and protective coatings. For spaces with increased duct sealing requirements, rectangular controllers with a high protection rating are used.
Selection by signal type: If the system is controlled via ModBus or analog signals (e.g., 0–10 V), appropriate control modules must be selected. Universal series electronic controllers are suitable for static systems.
Safety Features: It’s important to provide the ability to return the valve to the “open” or “closed” position in the event of a power failure. This ensures safety and prevents accidents.
A properly selected modification allows the system to operate reliably throughout the life of the filters, even if their contamination reduces the air flow.
